Menlo Park, CA — EdTech Times and SRI International will host xR in EDU (http://www.xrinedu.com/), a 1-day forum focused on extended reality in education. Located at SRI Headquarters in Menlo Park, CA, on October 26, 2017, this event will gather leaders in the virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), and education ecosystems. The goal is to understand barriers to adoption, discuss unique research findings, and facilitate meaningful connections that will accelerate the integration of extended reality (xR) technologies in K–12, higher education, and professional learning environments.

xR in EDU features dynamic speakers and session leaders from: Unity Technologies (Jessica Lindl) HTC Vive (Chris Chin), Pearson (Joanna Webb), Facebook (Hassan Karaouni), San Francisco Unified School District (Melissa Dodd), STRIVR (Derek Belch), DAQRI (Drew Minock), Nearpod (Maria Barrera), SRI International (Britte Cheng), Lifeliqe (Ondrej Homola), ThingLink (Susan Oxnevad), Entangled Ventures (Gunnar Counselman), Arkansas Department of Education (Anthony Owen), Unofficial Cardboard (David Nachbar), and Avegant (Ed Tang).

GSV Acceleration (Deborah Quazzo), EdTech Times/LearnLaunch (Hakan Satiroglu), Levy Consulting Group (Peter Levy), and Pearson (Mark Christian) serve as advisors to the event.
