Paragon Introduces Square Glass Fusing Kilns
The Paragon Fusion-14 and Fusion-16 glass fusing kilns.
The 14” square x 6 1/2” deep Fusion-14 and 16” square x 6 1/2” deep Fusion-16 heat from the top. The lid heading elements are mounted in pinless element grooves.
The kilns are available with optional features: a high temperature 1” x 3” glass window, a bead door for annealing glass beads, and a ceramic fiber lid. The Fusion-14 is a table top model with built-in base; the Fusion-16 comes with an 18” tall stand.
The Sentry Xpress digital temperature controller, which is standard on these models, fires in up to eight segments. Paragon offers an interactive demo of the controller on their website. “By using our demo, you can master the controller before even buying the kiln,” said Arnold Howard of Paragon Industries. “Press the controller buttons as if you were in front of the kiln.” To see the demos, go to www.paragonweb.com and click on the “Kiln Audio & Video” link on the left side of the page. The new Paragon Ovation-1013 digital glass fusing and slumping kiln is designed to fire rapidly. The 6.4 cubic foot oval kiln loads from the top. It is 13” deep to accommodate glass slumping molds.
The kiln heats from the top and sidewalls. The firebrick lid is 3” thick and includes two counter-balance springs. Included with the kiln are two 18” tall stands.

Paragon Introduces New Xpress-KM Series Knife Making Furnaces
Paragon Industries has just introduced the Xpress-KM series knife making furnaces, which are made in Mesquite, Texas. The new Xpress-KM furnaces are equipped with the Sentry Xpress 3-key digital controller. Paragon’s current KM-series, which they began manufacturing in 1986, come with the Sentry 12-key controller.
