Business Essentials Workshop on Orcas Island
SKILLED AND HAPPY STAFF = HAPPY CUSTOMERS! This is a 2 session series for business owners and managers of both public and private enterprises. The course will address hiring and supervisory practices that lead to enhanced customer service. Topics will include: how to interview, how to orient and train new staff, how to coach if performance isn’t up to speed, and generational communication differences. This course is taught by Louise Carnachan, Orcas Island resident. Cost for 2 sessions is $40 for Chamber members, $50 for non-members. (Tuesday, April 21 & Wednesday, April 22; 6:30 – 8:30 both nights)
Presented monthly, with speakers touching on topics of value to business, this series is presented as a benefit of Chamber membership.
The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce represents over 300 member businesses and organizations, and provides programs such as this to help fulfill its promise of helping strengthen the island economy; promoting the community; providing networking opportunities; and representing business to government.
