New at Lawson Conference and User Exchange: LifeSensor Personal

Orlando/FL, April 10, 2006 – By adding the LifeSensor® Personal Health Record (PHR) via a direct Weblink, Lawson Software is adding another unique feature to its Employee and Manager Self-Service solution: Employees of Lawson customers can now easily access all their relevant health information by a single mouse click.

With the addition of the LifeSensor PHR, which is already used in Europe, Lawson is now able to provide a proven solution for the secure storage of and access to health-related information to the employees of its clients: The certified LifeSensor authorization concept guarantees that only the owner of the record may grant access to his or her personal health information. Special interfaces permit the direct exchange of data between professional medical systems and the PHR, in addition to data entry via fax, e-mail, medical device, or manual input. With a PHR, patients can provide authorized physicians with quick and easy access to their medical information and thus help improve quality of care while minimizing redundant physical examinations and unnecessary healthcare spending. The emergency dataset in the LifeSensor PHR facilitates instant access to life-saving health information in the case of medical emergencies or accidents. Additional tools like web-based Wellness assistants or disease-specific modules (e.g., diabetes, breast cancer) are available with the PHR to further support optimal treatment, disease prevention and healthy lifestyle management.

“Studies indicate that a growing number of US employees are interested in personal health records”, says Larry Dunivan, VP of Human Capital Management products at Lawson. “Just recently, some large employers have announced that they will offer their staff PHRs free of charge to help them manage their health, which ultimately should lead to reduced company’s healthcare expenditures. With the addition of LifeSensor in our Employee Self-Service solution, we believe we are better positioned to satisfy the growing demand for these types of records.”

Peter Reuschel, CEO of InterComponentWare (ICW), the international e-health company providing LifeSensor, concurs: “Our web-based personal health record is an ideal added value solution to Lawson’s Employee Self-
Service offering. Companies providing their staff with the LifeSensor PHR gain the potential to reduce their healthcare costs, support the trend towards consumer-centric healthcare, and increase employee satisfaction and education.”

LifeSensor PHR will be presented to Lawson users for the first time at the Lawson Conference and User Exchange (CUE) in Orlando, Florida, from April 9 to 12, 2006, and Lawson anticipates that this new feature will be available to customers by mid-2006.
