These generators are used where there is a scarcity of pure drinking water. The emission of greenhouse gases has resulted in climate change and increased average temperature. The AWG uses cooling and desiccation for condensation of water vapors present in the air. Cooling condensation is the most widely used method, which condenses air by cooling it down to its dew point. On the other hand, desiccation makes use of hygroscopic compounds, such as silica gel, brine, and reactive lithium halides that soak up water from the air, which is then separated from the compound to obtain pure water. The AWG finds application at airports, hospitals, schools, homes, business, military and other industrial, commercial, and residential places.
