336 Productions Wins a Telly Award in Its First Year of Business

Costa Mesa, Calif., February 23, 2009 – 336 Productions, an Orange County production company celebrating its first year in April, is the proud recipient of a prestigious Telly Award, which honors outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online film and video. The award is in recognition of their work on the official trailer for the feature length documentary, “The Compass,” which they produced in association with Spencer Media. The film encourages people to follow their own internal compass, and strive to reach their peak potential.

The founders and owners of 336 Productions, Marlowe Greenlee and Josh Stone (who co-directed, produced, edited, and shot “The Compass”), sought to create a trailer that reflected the inspirational tone of the film, excited viewers, and created interest. Graphics were provided by the film’s CG Artist, Jeff Bennett, and Graphic Artist, Scott Bolinger. The song “The Journey Within” is an original composition by Paul Hoffman, the film’s composer, specifically for the trailer, which was released in November of 2008 to rave reviews.

“The Compass” took approximately 10 months to create. February 8th, 2009 marked the World Premiere of “The Compass” at the Grove of Anaheim. Over 800 attendees enjoyed food, drinks, a silent auction benefiting three charities (The I AM Foundation, Working Wardrobes and The Get America Fit Foundation), a live performance by the band Hypnogaja, and of course, the debut of “The Compass.”
