East Tennessee Mom Goes Virtual

(Sevierville, Tennessee, March 31, 2006) Susan Hill is originally from Roane County, Tennessee and has recently moved to Sevierville, Tennessee where she has taken her skills and expertise to the internet! She is the 39 year old mother of 3 children and first began working from home in about 1998 as an independent contractor for a company that hires remote agents to process orders, take payments and handle customer service calls from home.

During her tenure with that company, she was constantly on the hunt for other opportunities that might exist that would allow her to stay home for her children, and allow her to earn at least a part time income.

After several years of working for others, she decided it was time to put some of her skills and expertise to use in her own business, and she has done just that! She credits a great deal of her motivation and inspiration to her children, especially her 13 year old son, Grant, who is a special needs child. Susan says, “It seems like no matter where I worked, no matter what I was doing, I felt the need to be at home, or at least be available for him at all times.”

Being self-employed has given Susan the freedom she needs in order to meet the needs of her family but has also allowed her to earn a substantial income and meet some of her financial goals at the same time. In addition to meeting goals, her relentless sense of business professionalism has allowed her to see success in her endeavors over the past few years.

People are always asking her what she does from home and with her usual sense of compassion; she begins to answer questions, and has helped many other moms, “go virtual,” as well.

Susan says, “Most of the mothers I speak with express an interest in working from home but just don't know where to begin.” That's where she has stepped in, guided them and has watched them succeed with her simple tips and advice in getting started. While giving the information to others so freely, she always reminds each of them what it takes to be a true work from home mom. She says, “It takes patience, a sense of professionalism, dedication, a sense of passion for what you do, and simple common sense.”

Susan Hill is the mother of 3 children and is the owner and operator of Break Time Virtual Services. She is currently attending Kaplan University in pursuit of her AAS degree in Business Administration and Management. For over 7 years, she has offered services to individuals, small businesses, home based businesses and an array of other clients.
