In the Indian culture, a teacher is revered as a guru and parent who guides, motivates and inspires the students to gain knowledge and mould them to be good citizens. The birthday of a great teacher, philosopher and the former President of India, Dr Saravepalli Radhakrishnan is celebrated all over India on 5 September every year as Teacher Day.

By making you to take a test after a lesson during the educational years, indeed it is the teacher who prepares you to take a test and learn a lesson later in life. No one has doubt that the youth of India today who are mostly students get shaped by the teachers to be top ranking leaders of India tomorrow. To celebrate the teachers' day, the Chemical Engineering students of Banasthali organized a cultural program to felicitate the teachers.

The program began with the welcoming of teachers in traditional way with tilak followed by lamp lighting and progressed to modern times of cake cutting. The cultural program included classical dances, bollywood hungama dance, poem recitations, Dance Duet, Dance Solo, group dance etc. The spoof on TV reality show was undoubtedly rib tickling. The musical chair had the faculty going in cirlcles and ultimately was won by Ms Priyanka Bisht who is also a proud Banasthalite. The tongue twister challenge had faculty rattling out the given words and was won by Faculty Mr Depak Kumar.

The Lemon & Spoon Race – Nimbu Chamchi Dod was keenly contested by the faculty and the winner was Ms Vibha Verma. The students also conferred different titles on faculty ranging from Beauty with Brains (Ms Meenakshi), Queen of Expressions (Ms Vibha Verma), Miss Perfectionist (Priyanka Bisht), Mr Socioholic (Prof BR Natarajan), Mr Dabangg (Sandeep Kumar Patel), Mr Burning Flame ( Depak Kumar), Mr Dedication (Ashok Yadav), Mr Phenomenal (Dr Somen Jana), Mr Computational (Dr Satish Chandra Shukla) and Mr Khiladi (Sourabh Joshi).

The program anchors included Neha Arora, Aanchal Mehendiratta, Nehal Govil, Yashi Kumari, Sanskriti Garg. The organizing team included Nisha Kushwaha, Neha Arora, Deepali Kataria, Komal Singh. The party time started with passions peaking, emotions erupting, cameras flashing all over like choreography of lightning in the sky, happy huggings, patching up misunderstandings, latching up new understandings and of course having a go at the aroma laden snacks specially ordered for the occasion.
