Payoneer in association with NASSCOM and CIIE presented an opportunity to understand the brewing GIG economy from the experts. Mr. Nisarg Trivedi, the CFO of Cygnet Infotech was in the experts’ panel and shared his views on “Unlock The Gig Economy- Grow Beyond Borders” which was held on 1st September 2017.

With India becoming a Digital Superpower, it has around 1.5 crore freelancers contributing to 40% of the freelance business. The session helped in understanding the trade and the tricks to reach out to the global customers and grow business beyond borders heading by a fireside chat on Leapfrog from Freelancing to Gig Economy and the impact of GST on Cross Border Transactions.

The striking initiatives on Cross Border Transactions will bring ease in freelancing and will surely encourage in creating innovative solutions and employment growth. Mr. Nisarg said, “With a flagship mission to promote freelancing activities and help it grow beyond borders, government truly understands the power of technology and foresees a bright opportunity for the freelancers across India. Creation of robust ecosystem for the freelancers would be a great support by the government.”
