In 2015, the value of oil and gas field machinery production in the U.S. amounted to $18.0B, shrinking by -27.9% against the previous year level. Overall, the U.S. oil and gas field machinery output pursued a slight decline from 2007 to 2015. The total output figures decreased at an average annual rate of -0.7%. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2011, when the output figure increased by +20% from the previous year level. Over the period under review, the total value of oil and gas field machinery shipments in the United States peaked at $25.0B in 2014, falling back in the following year.

Rotary oil and gas field drilling machinery and equipment accounted for the highest share (46% in 2015) of U.S. oil and gas field machinery manufacturing, leaving a considerable room for oil and gas field production machinery and equipment (excluding pumps) (31%).
