In 2015, the value of fluid power valve and hose fitting production in the U.S. amounted to $8.8B, lowering by -6.3% against the previous year level. Overall, the U.S. fluid power valve and hose fitting output pursued a moderate growth from 2007 to 2015. The total output figures increased at an average annual rate of +1.0%. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2010, when the output figure increased by +19% from the previous year level. Over the period under review, the total value of fluid power valve and hose fitting shipments in the United States peaked at $9.4B in 2014, falling back in the following year.

Aerospace-type hydraulic and pneumatic fluid power hose or tube end fittings and assemblies accounted for the highest share (15% in 2015) of U.S. fluid power valve and hose fitting manufacturing, leaving a considerable room for nonaerospace-type hydraulic and pneumatic fittings and couplings for hose (13%).
