Air Missile Defence Technology 2017 to feature V4, NATO, and key industry experts

Press release from: SMi Group

Drawing on from the success of last year’s launch event, SMi Group has announced the return of the highly-anticipated Air Missile Defence Technology 2017 conference, which takes place in Prague on the 24th and 25th October. The updated agenda has been released and will highlight five key points in this vital area of defence.

Key takeaways include:

1. National updates on air and missile defence capabilities
As inherent aerial and missile threats continue to escalate, the conference will showcase how leading nations are strengthening their collective defence structures and modernizing AMD capabilities through exclusive sessions from the Czech Armed Forces, French Air Force, Hungarian Army, Slovakian Air Force, and the Royal Netherlands Army.

2. Exclusive briefings from leading solution providers
Delegates will discover future trends and opportunities, as well as factors influencing the AMD market, by hearing firsthand from industry leaders shaping up the air and missile defence landscape including Lockheed Martin, MBDA, Rafael and Weibel Scientific.

3. Insights on AMD systems architecture and technology
NATO will outline strategies for creating common architecture and interfaces to enable integration of command, fire and sensor capabilities into a joint network for faster responses to air threats and more precise situational awareness.

4. V4 integration
An exclusive panel discussion featuring the Czech Armed Forces, Slovakian Air Force and the Hungarian Army will explore how the nations are enhancing regional collaboration for air defence and air policing, as well as optimising air cover for deployed ground forces.

5. Briefings on air defence training from the Czech Air Force
Event attendees will learn how to develop specialist skills and expertise for air defence units from the success of the recent Tobruq exercises, and how the Czech Air Force capitalized on interoperable skills and allied SHORAD capabilities.

Bringing together air defence operators and technical experts from the military and industry, the event agenda has been curated to provide a discussion on threats to the increasingly complex air space and the solutions available to defeat these threats from the air including missiles, rockets, artillery, planes and unmanned aerial vehicles.
