Armilla wristband BABY-SET

Armilla wristband BABY-SET

From 17th to 20th March 2009, the International Forum on Quality and Safety in Health Care is to take place in the ICC in Berlin. The organisers, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and the BMJ Publishing Group, would like to present the results of research and convey ideas that contribute to a higher level of quality and safety in health care. Last year, over 2,000 participants came from over 60 countries to Paris.

In this prestigious environment, Mediaform is to be an exhibitor in the Security Solutions section (stand 1, Central Lobby). The company, with over 50 completed and ongoing projects, and annual sales of two million patient safety wristbands, is the market leader in the field of patient identification in Germany. The spotlight is to be focussed on the new BABY-SET and the THERMO STICK patient wristband from the successful Armilla product range.

Safe, simple and environmentally friendly
The Armilla BABY-SET is already ensuring that mother and baby are safely identified immediately after the birth. The set of two patient wristbands and a tag - for the baby’s cot for example - is printed in one go, so that mother and baby are identified together clearly, and the possibility of getting the baby mixed up is not possible.

The light Mono-Soft material of the wristbands is unique. The wristbands can be wrapped around the wrist quickly and easily, and the safety adhesive fastener can be adjusted to size, with ease, even on babies.

The Armilla THERMO STICK patient wristband is remarkable not only thanks to its skin-friendly qualities and its high level of comfort; it is printed in an environmentally friendly way. Instead of using a colour band, the patient information is transferred onto a special layer of the wristband with a thermal process. The procedure is quick and is easy to carry out.

All Armilla wristbands are tested against strict criteria for medical devices. They comply with ISO 10993-5:1999 guidelines and there is no risk of an allergic or toxic reaction. Due to the selected materials and the extra-strong adhesive, the bands are watertight and insensitive to alcohol, solvents and mild soaps.
