Abstract:
In 2015, the value of wood product production in the U.S. amounted to $6.5B, ascending by +21.1% against the previous year level. Overall, the U.S. wood product output pursued a considerable growth from 2007 to 2015. The total output figures increased at an average annual rate of +3.1%. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015, when the output figure increased by +21% from the previous year level. In that year, the value of shipments of wood product in the United States reached its maximum level and is likely to continue its growth in the immediate term.

Other wood products owned and treated by the same establishment accounted for the highest share (49% in 2015) of U.S. wood product manufacturing, leaving a considerable room for wood poles, piles, and posts owned and treated by the same establishment (34%). The other related products with less notable individual shares together comprised approx. 17% of the total output.
