In 2015, the value of commercial bakery production in the U.S. amounted to $30.0B, ascending by +2.5% against the previous year level. Overall, the U.S. commercial bakery output pursued a significant growth from 2007 to 2015. The total output figures increased at an average annual rate of +2.7%. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014, when the output figure increased by +4% from the previous year level. Over the period under review, the total value of commercial bakery shipments reached its maximum level in 2015, and is likely to continue its growth in the immediate term.

Bread (white, wheat, rye, etc.), including frozen accounted for the highest share (41% in 2015) of U.S. commercial bakery manufacturing, leaving a considerable room for rolls, bread-type (including muffins, bagels, and croissants), including frozen (29%).
