Triometric analytics platform adds Microsoft Azure to complete

Egham, UK, 31 August 2017 –Triometric, the leading provider of API monitoring and business intelligence for the online travel industry today announced a broad expansion of its supported cloud environments with live customer installations that now includes, Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) as well as those offered by Rackspace and Oracle. According to Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Cloud Infrastructure as a Service, AWS, who were the first to launched their service in 2006, is today the market leader with 41.5% share while Azure is rapidly catching up with 10%. Triometric’s first cloud based customer used Rackspace however this has been closely followed by a number of clients in AWS.

The travel sector is leading the way in adopting cloud technologies as more travel companies look for scale and reliability for their online presence. Using cloud-based systems saves travel businesses from heavy investments in scalable infrastructure as search volumes continue to rise. Specifically the cloud gives them:

1. Scalability – the flexibility to scale up or down in line with seasonal or business demands.

2. Innovation – the ability to implement new services quickly without huge costs or process delays.

As a leading provider of travel API monitoring and analytics solutions, Triometric recognises this trend for cloud adoption and has developed its platform to offer cloud-based versions for the preferred cloud environment of its customers. Regardless of which cloud platform, a customer chooses, Triometric offers a flexible and collaborative approach to ensure that the Trio platform continues to deliver the performance and data accessibility required.

Triometric also works with its customers as they transition their existing on premise platforms to the cloud, or to scale its analytic operations to the cloud in line with growth objectives while retaining their on premise arrangements. Many travel companies have invested heavily in existing on premise systems, creating the need for hybrid cloud/data centre platforms during a more extended migration approach to the cloud.

Triometric helps simplify such moves by providing seamless access to both on-premises and cloud sources.
In addition, Triometric launched Trio Express earlier this year, an easy to deploy and use cloud based version of its API analytics platform. It brings the power of operational monitoring and availability management analytics to the smaller hotel distributor on a Software as a Service (SaaS) basis. This “keeping it simple” approach makes critical operational and XML analysis accessible to online travel companies whose data volumes do not justify major investment in infrastructure and skilled analysts.

By lowering the barrier for accessibility to XML or JSON analytics with a flexible, streamlined and lower cost subscription model, Triometric customers can quickly start to translate their routine transaction message flows into actionable insights, with minimal infrastructure commitments. This helps amplify the value of their data and accelerate decision making.

“We are witnessing significant demand to move on-premises analytics workloads to the cloud” said Matthew Goulden, CEO Triometric. ”Using Triometric’s versatile cloud architecture, our customers can update the way they access their search and booking data for analysis in the best way that suits them. By moving to the cloud, travel providers gain access to more flexible and scalable IT resources and easy access to performance reports. This is conducive for improved uptime, error monitoring and inventory availability management leading to greater agility, reduced costs, and increased efficiency”.

More and more travel businesses of all sizes are starting to realize the major benefits of using cloud computing technologies and desire to implement them in their daily activities. Triometric has the analytics platform and cloud environments to support their endeavours.
