After reading the report released on growing decline of vocabulary knowledge among school kids by US Education Department education reformer Manisha Shelley Kaura decided to counteract the problem. With her physician father by her side, she started to research about the real causes behind the issue. Her research showed that the main reason behind this continuous downfall was the absence of root words knowledge. After this, the father-daughter duo structured a well-defined 6-8 grade vocabulary program to help children understand and memorize vocabulary comprehension in an easy-to-understand manner.

A Xavier University, Cincinnati alumnus Manisha believes, “Singing and dancing is a whole mind/body experience, also students are more interested in learning through music and songs other than monotonous classroom activities. Therefore, while preparing our Vocab Tunes’ programs we focused on making it a melodious learning activity.”
