Blue bleu blau blu 2017 Vienna

BIENNALE AUSTRIA association presents on occasion of the exhibition "blue bleu blau blu 2017 Vienna“ positions of artists from Australia, Denmark, Egypt, Germany, Finland, Israel, Italy, Kenya, Netherlands, Russia, Switzerland, Serbia and Austria on the subject of BLUE from 16 – 22 October 2017 at AUSSTELLUNGSRAUM, Gumpendorfer Strasse 23, 1060 Vienna, Austria.

“Leonardo da Vinci describes the nature and effect of the color BLUE as immaterial, BLUE is not a color of the air, but a metaphysical mixture of sunlight with the "blackness of the eclipse of the world". For Goethe, BLUE was one of the two pure colors.
BLUE is one of the favorite colors of many people because it radiates peace and harmony. BLUE is associated with relaxing, resting, "the BLUE Monday", "the ride into the BLUE".
BLUE is also a symbol of the infinite dimensions, the distance, the sky and the water.
BLUE stands for security, for tradition, BLUE clothing is inconspicuous, correct, a color of the working people.
BLUE symbolizes spirit and order, law and power. BLUE is the color of Mary in the Christian tradition. The BLUE dress and the BLUE coat depict Mary as a queen of heaven.
The French artist Yves Klein was able to patent the ultramarine BLUE he developed under the name "International Klein BLUE".
And who does not know the "BLUE Hour", in which the special intense BLUE of the sky has put poets and romantics for centuries in an ecstatic mood.”
