Expert consultants open office in Sheffield to attract top talent in the city.
Peterborough, UK, 18th of August 2017 – Oil & Gas Corrosion Ltd, an independent consultancy providing expert advice in materials and corrosion to the oil and gas industry, today announced plans to expand in Sheffield, UK by opening its third office; the new office will to be located at the heart of Sheffield City Centre in order to accommodate rapid growth and leverage the city’s highly specialized talent pool.
The company has agreed the lease of a location in the city centre on Smithfield at the old Nickel Blanks Co Ltd works, a site that carries an industrial heritage spanning over 300 years. “We are bringing metallurgy back to its roots. this new office here in Sheffield the Steel City will allow us to recruit experienced metallurgists as well as graduates from two universities with excellent tradition in engineering, metallurgy and materials” said Ivan Gutierrez, Managing Director for Oil & Gas Corrosion Ltd “We have ambitious plans for our Sheffield office that include laying the foundations for a centre of excellence in Oilfield Metallurgy; the city already has the steel heritage and a buoyant oil and gas sector, we plan to build on this to service our clients around the globe”.
Oil & Gas Corrosion Ltd was founded in 2014 and since then the company has delivered multiple projects in the North Sea and abroad. Despite the oilprice downturn, the company has grown due to the success of an ambitious service export plan that focused on delivering expert advice to clients in locations like the USA and Middle East. The new location in Sheffield will strengthen the technical offering and support the company’s growth strategy.
The company will move into the new office space in September and once settled will be hosting a launch event for local industry stakeholders - more details to follow in due course.
