Anniversary Gift That Says It All

Allen Jesson, Internet poet, has started to release his entire body of work (over 2,000 poems and 30,000 verses) to the world. Visitors to A Gift of Poetry can now create and write their own gift poetry, creating their very own "one of a kind" wedding, anniversary or birthday gift. In short, you can see Keats and Shakespeare turning in their graves as Allen has created the world's first automated poetry site. Actually, Chaucer may be turning the most as Allen has calculated he has now passed the output of one of the UK's most prolific poets.

"What can I get my wife (or husband) for our anniversary?" A familiar question asked by many when it comes to a birthday or anniversary, especially when you've been married a few years. Well, help is at hand, in the form of a relatively new concept, gift poetry.

This massive body of work, over 30,000 verses, was amassed and written over a ten year period. Some of the shared stories are very moving. From birth to death and beyond and every point in between, it seems Allen has written about most of the major pivotal moments in people's lives. Apart from the obvious wedding, anniversary and birthday milestones, Allen's customers, who were mostly American and English, have used his gift to send a variety of heartfelt messages to their loved ones.

With a clever use of technology, visitors can now use those pre-existing verses as the basis for their own creation.
