Beijing: The People’s President 2008 Imperato on Putin & Jintao Pipeline & China Daily

Beijing - While visiting Beijing, on an extended trip throughout Asia Pacific, analyzing the political environment and business environments in the region, The People’s President, Daniel Imperato, took time to remark on the new Sino-Russian strategic partnership.

“It is great to see two nations, China and Russia, join hands and solidify their agreement to build their resource pipeline to connect their countries and to increase strength between two great nations,” said Imperato.

Yesterday, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Hu Jintao signed a partnership that will have Russia build two large gas pipelines to China within five years.

“While the United States of America and its administration spends billions of dollars on the war in Iraq, the Russians and the Chinese, looking from the outside, are moving towards solving their problem pertaining to their reliance on the Middle East for natural resources.”

Imperato was concerned that while the US is talking about Middle East oil dependency, Russia and China are doing something about it.

“While the USA and its administration spends billions of dollars on the war in Iraq, our administration and President Bush calls America “Addicted to Oil” and states that we have to eventually do away with Middle Eastern oil supply. China and Russia stepped up in doing just that. In addition to China’s plans of its pipeline to Korea, and Russia’s plans of its pipeline to India, the pipeline between Russia and China becomes very significant,” expressed Imperato.

“Maybe one day America will stop spending money and resources on forcing democracy down the mouths of Iraq and focus more on the energy concerns and utilizing monies to consider developing oil fields in Alaska, which could eventually have a pipeline connected to Russia.”

Energy has become key to Russian-Chinese relations as China's breakneck growth has led to huge increases in energy use. China's needs have accounted for 40 percent of the growth in global oil demand growth over the past four years, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

Imperato pointed out that this event only highlights our diplomatic inefficiencies.

“Standing in Tiananmen Square today, evaluating the scene of the peaceful people of China and reading the China Daily news front page on Putin and Jintao’s historical pipeline deal stood the article, ‘US Officials Upbeat on Trade Ties with China’. While the United States and its administration are struggling with China relations because of its lack of diplomacy, Russia seems to have no problem. It would have been great to see our president on the front page of China Daily in between Jintao and Putin endorsing their pipeline as a third party partner and offering investment into the partnership,” explained Imperato.

“Unfortunately because America and our administration has allowed our debt ceiling to reach outrageous levels and our foreign trade the same, we have a huge deficit that doesn’t permit the US investment in the strategic partnership between Russia and China.”

Imperato concluded his statement as follows, “When I become the people’s president of the USA, I would endorse partnerships similar to the one with Russia and China and had wished that I would have been invited to participate. I am sure when I am President I will diplomatically strengthen relations with China and surely be invited.”
