Rhein Chemie is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Germany-based specialty chemicals group LANXESS. Headquartered in Mannheim, Germany, the company provides tailor-made additives and service products to many segments of the rubber, lubricant, plastics and polyurethane industries.
LANXESS is a leader in specialty chemicals with sales in 2007 of EUR 6.61 billion and currently around 15,000 employees in 21 countries. The company is represented at 44 production sites worldwide. The core business of LANXESS is the development, manufacture and sale of plastics, rubber, intermediates and specialty chemicals.

German specialty chemicals company LANXESS and one of China’s largest tire companies Triangle Group have further strengthened their long-term partnership. Both companies have signed an agreement under which LANXESS will supply Triangle with premium halobutyl rubbers from 2012-2014. Financial details were not disclosed.
