Addition of correspondent firm in Albania boosts Russell Bedford coverage in South East Europe

Russell Bedford International, the worldwide accounting and consulting group, has announced the appointment of ZIG Consulting AL Sh.p.k. as its correspondent firm in Albania, boosting the network's coverage in South East Europe.

ZIG Consulting was founded in 2007 by a group of professionals with backgrounds in different aspects of business consulting. Grouping together financial and legal advisers, ZIG Consulting is one of the first firms in Albania to offer such a multi-discipline range of business services.

Based near the centre of the capital, Tirana, the firm is managed by four partners who are responsible for different fields of activities and services. They are assisted by four associates and seven junior associates.

The senior partner is Olsi Ibro, a qualified lawyer with an MBA and degrees in Law and Economics. Before co-founding the present firm, Olsi was senior partner of a Tirana-based law firm. Previously, he held various positions in government departments, advising on legislative matters. In addition to his consulting role, Olsi is executive director of the Institute for Legal and Institutional Reform, and he lectures in Law and Economics at Kristal University in Tirana.

Elda Zaimi, a partner in the firm, is an accountant with a degree in Finance and an MBA. Prior to the establishment of ZIG Consulting, she had roles in various Albanian banks, mainly handling SME clients. She also participated as a consultant in the European Community Mission for Albanian Justice. Elda is a part-time lecturer in the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tirana.

Mimoza Memoçi is the firm’s audit partner. She has more than 20 years’ professional experience in the accounting and audit field. Beginning her career as an accountant in industry, Mimoza qualified as a Certified Public Accountant and then as a Licensed Auditor. She is a member of the Albanian Institute of Authorised Chartered Auditors (IEKA). Before co-founding ZIG Consulting, she gained extensive experience as an independent auditor of a wide variety of companies.

Erald Ibro is a partner specialising in bookkeeping and accountancy. Having studied Business Administration at the University of Tirana, Erald gained professional experience in local accounting firms and in industry before the founding of ZIG Consulting. Erald is a member of the Albanian Association of Accountants (LPKM).

In addition to their native language, the senior personnel are all able to communicate in English. Italian, French, Turkish and Greek are also spoken in the firm.
