COLUMBIA, MD., January 9, 2009 – The Department of Defense honored Trusant Technologies, LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firm for providing essential technologies to the warfighter while exhibiting excellence in Department of Defense (DoD) contracting. The SDVOSB Achievement Award specifically recognized outstanding business acumen and success in Federal procurement, the company's dedication to hiring veterans and service-disabled veterans, and the demonstrated support of the veteran and disabled-veteran community.

The Honorable Gordon England, Deputy Secretary of Defense, The Honorable James I. Finley, Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Technology, and Mr. Anthony Martoccia, the Director for the DoD Office of Small Business Programs, presented the award.

“It is a remarkable honor to be one of six companies in the entire U.S. to receive this award. We pledge to continue to reach out and employ veterans whenever possible” said Trusant co-owner, Joe DiGangi.
