Paul Fornelli Named Academic Director of Two Media Programs at The Art Institute
Fornelli Oversees the Digital Photography and Web Design & Interactive Media ProgramsPaul Fornelli joined The Art Institute of California -- Orange County this fall as the academic department director for the Digital Photography and Web Design & Interactive Media programs. Fornelli joins The Art Institute after serving as the program director for the School of Design at Westwood College in Los Angeles.
“Paul’s teaching background and his experience managing a department has helped him identify the needs of students and faculty in our programs,” said Melinda Lester, Dean of Academic Affairs. “His upbeat attitude, technological skill and passion for quality education make him a welcome addition to The Art Institute team.”
Fornelli received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Electronic Media from California State University, Long Beach and his Master of Fine Arts in Broadcast Production from Loyola Marymount University. He has over 20 years of digital media management experience and has worked for Cox Communications, Simmons Cable Television, Enigma Records, Cannon Films and his own media consulting firm, Blatant Image Group.
“I joined The Art Institute because of the depth of the program content and the outstanding level of work produced by the students,” Fornelli said. “I have seen firsthand the dedication of the faculty and staff and I look forward to having the opportunity to contribute to our students’ success.”
