TOTALly stunning - CAMPUS Live has been awarded with the “TOTAL Innovation Award 2008”
For the fist time, the distinguished "TOTAL Innovation Award" has been allocated. The award was presented in the closing ceremony of this year’s “Business plan competition Saxony-Anhalt”. The competition consists of three steps: "Developing a Concept Paper", "Small Business Plan" and "Full Business Plan." In the last stage the best seven business plans are annually nominated and are presented in front of jury of comprising higher education and business representatives.
With CAMPUS Live the three founders Hilmar von Tippelskirch, Andreas Wagner and David Fernández Oliveira are creating an online platform which is a virtual and mobile information platform about the university and its location. The offer is even available on mobile devices and should become a daily partner for students. CAMPUS Live specialises on the homogeneous needs of university students: time management, saving money, advice and communication. As an additional management or digital marketing tool, the portal satisfies the needs of both universities and companies. It is a time efficient and competitive tool to communicate information. The strength of the company lies in the closeness to the market, as all three user groups are as well partners as objective generators of ideas and customers.
CAMPUS Live plans to launch the portal in the summer semester of 2009. During the start-up, strong interest from the students as well as universities and companies has been expressed – current partners are for instance the University of Düsseldorf, London Metropolitan University, eoi Business School Madrid and College Scholarships USA.
During the closing ceremony, the TOTAL Refinery Mitteldeutschland GmbH has expressed its willingness to support and to promote potential company founders. As a sign of commitment, the German refinery wants to annually award small-and medium-sized companies the lucrative “Innovation Award” in the future.
