Charity-Event Schloss Prielau

Charity-Event Schloss Prielau

It had been announced as a weekend without equal - and the high expectations were even surpassed: 'The Christ child on Schloss Prielau' offered its guests a true feast for all their senses. From the energy-bursting show performed by Isabella Bogner-Bader to the culinary delights prepared by star-winning chef Eckhart Witzigmann and the entertaining supporting programme: the commitment of hosts and guests to contribute to a good cause made the weekend a thorough success. And the media response was great as well: several camera teams and many print journalists were present at the exceptional event.

Artist Isabella Bogner-Bader and the hotelier family Mayer had invited guests to come to the stately home of Schloss Prielau and supports the charity event in favour of the association Kinderseelenhilfe Salzburg that helps children with psychological conditions. And the call did not pass unheard: many people were glad to give a helping hand in this good cause. In cooperation with the tourism region Zell am See-Kaprun, the organizers offered an interesting mixture of arts and culture. And the guests rewarded their efforts with their donations: already now that the event is barely over it has been confirmed that the Kinderseelenhilfe can look forward to receiving a five-digit sum. What the proceeds really are will be revealed to the public on 24th December when Isabella Bogner-Bader hands over the money during the programme 'Shedding some light' broadcast by the Austrian ORF.

When the first notes of the musical programme could be heard in the romantic ambiance of Schloss Prielau, the Christmas mood was already palpable. And until Sunday evening, this special flair continued to envelop the guests. A real highlight was Saturday evening. Once again, artists Isabella Bogner-Bader could proof her versatility. Her show 'Angel in a Suit' turned the backdrop of the stately home into a total art work. The spectators could let themselves get carried away by a brilliant combination of mystic and modern elements. But not just the guests were enthusiastic. The artist herself was very happy with the performance, too: 'The entire weekend went extraordinarily well. As an ambassador of the Kinderseelenhilfe, I felt obliged to do something like this. I really hope I was able to help the children that way.'

The highlight for eyes and ears was followed by a feast for the palate. The star-winning chefs Eckart Witzigmann and Andreas Mayer had prepared a selection of their most exquisite delicacies and served them at the gala dinner at Mayer's restaurant. This exclusive six-course menu accompanied by first-class wines left nothing to be desired. Witzigmann, a friend of the Mayer family, about the unique event: 'When I first heard about this idea, I knew that I just had to participate. As a father and grandpa I know how important it is for children to spend a happy childhood.'

Beside the stage show and the gala dinner, there were readings, music performances, and a nativity play organized by committed helping hands contributing to the success of the weekend. But it was the smallest guests who probably made the biggest sacrifice: in the weeks prior to the event they had donated toys to be sold at an auction in order to help their peers in need. All participants of the charity event have shown in an impressive way that the spirit of Christmas is still alive in the region of Zell am See-Kaprun.
