Los Angeles, CA (November 18, 2008)— On Tuesday, November 25, 2008, singer/songwriter Sarah Hethcoat is set to volunteer at the “Thanksgiving Dinner for the Troops” at the Bob Hope Hollywood USO at LAX.

“It’s really just about helping out. I am so lucky to have what I do, I love to give back whenever I can. The troops are so important to us all,” says Hethcoat about volunteering at the event.

Hethcoat and other entertainers, political figures, celebrities, and athletes will serve 200 members of the Armed Forces leaving for assignment, a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. This is the third year the USO has coordinated such an event. The USO is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the troops by providing moral, welfare and recreation-type services to men and women in uniform.

Hethcoat has just released her new EP “Nobody Likes a Bully” on October 27, 2008. Produced by Dave Cobb (Chris Cornell, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club), the EP channels influences from David Bowie to the Bee Gees to The Ronnetes. Heathcoats songs center on learning to love and growing from the trials and tribulations that come with the territory.

Currently, Hethcoat can be seen all over Southern California showcasing her live music and promoting the new EP available on iTunes.

About Sarah Hethcoat

Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Sarah Hethcoat has released her new EP “Nobody Likes a Bully” on October 27, 2008, produced by famed producer Dave Cobb (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Chris Cornell). Musically, for the entire EP, producer Cobb looked to the 60s for the inspiration. Drums were covered in sheets, the way Ringo Starr used to do to give them that muted “handsy” sound. The sound channels influences from David Bowie to the Bee Gees to Phil Spector and The Ronnettes to Cream to even Lou Reed. Now, Hethcoat can be seen all over Southern California showcasing her live music and promoting the new EP available on iTunes. Additionally, TV shows have shown interest in licensing her music and her debut and sophmore EPs have licensed tracks “Show Me” and “Every Time” on MTV’s hit TV show “The Hills” this past year.
