Activities View of the Team Servers containing all resource changes, as well as all resources that are currently being edited by the team.

Chicago, November 19, 2008 –Innovations Software Technology today announces the release of the Visual Rules Enterprise Platform 4.3, the premier Business Rules Management (BRM) Platform. The highlight of this release is the Team Server, a centralized rule repository, which provides for the team-based development and management of business rules.

Business Rules Management for Agile Enterprises

Companies such as the Volkswagen Bank manage their business rules with the Visual Rules Enterprise Platform for applications such as credit risk rating. Visual Rules provides the capability for these organizations to dynamically adapt to changing business and market requirements – by the business experts themselves.

What´s New in Visual Rules 4.3 ?

Team Server
The Visual Rules Team Server is a centralized rule repository and is a new component to the Visual Rules Enterprise Platform. It provides the ability to easily develop and manage business rules in a team. The Team Server also facilitates the reuse of rules, data models and other related resources across the enterprise.

While team members collaboratively develop rules, the Team Server helps to avoid editing conflicts by the use of functions such as update alerts before editing and the automatic locking of rules and resources (based on inheritance) within the business object model hierarchy.

Assignment of user- and team-based authorization is possible at all levels of the rules.

The Team Server continuously stores every change while rules are edited. Therefore, rules are fully auditable for any revision at any given time.

Modeler
In addition, version 4.3 comprises a variety of new features for the Visual Rules Modeler:

• A new Test Browser allows for a quick overview of rule tests defined.
• Rule tests can now also be executed for those rules resulting in an exception as output. These tests are needed, for instance, in validation rules with given invalid input data.
• If single test cases are temporarily not needed for test execution they can now be deactivated.

Evaluating Visual Rules

It is easy to get to know Visual Rules quickly. The product website www.visual-rules.com provides demos, webcasts, individual web conferences, a free test version of the software, customer stories, and much more.

Version 4.3 of the Visual Rules Modeler is now available for evaluation. A free license for evaluating the Team Server is available upon request at: service@visual-rules.com
