Fun new way to learn ballroom dancing

If you have ever fancied learning to ballroom dance or just want to get some light exercise then there is a new mobile phone App that could be just the thing you need.
Phonedancing has three training modes that can teach you a range of ballroom dancing steps, while working at your own pace; then a fun game will help you practice and perfect your skills by measuring and scoring how well you move in unison with the steps shown on the phone.
The steps for each dance are displayed clearly on the phone’s screen, just as if they were drawn out on the floor in front of you. Zoom out to see the whole dance routine or simply follow the feet positions shown, with each step realigned to the latest phone position.
This might not be enough to win Strictly, but ballroom dancing is great fun and a valuable social talent that is well worth learning. Most people should be able to master a basic waltz after an afternoon of light exercise, just dancing around their living room. Hopefully, this App will encourage a lot more people to start ballroom dancing or help them remember steps or progress through dance school more quickly.
