LOMS project awarded 2008 Gold Achievement Award by ITEA
Orga Systems achieved excellent innovations within projectPaderborn, Germany/Rotterdam, the Netherlands 28. October 2008: Together with its European project partners, Orga Systems has won the 2008 Gold Achievement Award and 2008 Silver Exhibition Award at this year’s ITEA 2 Symposium for the results and presentation of the LOMS (Local Mobile Services) project. Orga Systems has been leading the German consortium of the LOMS project; other partners come from Belgium and Spain.
The international jury stated: “The ITEA 2 Board is enthusiastic about the excellent innovations achieved in the LOMS project. The project consortium managed to overcome the existing barriers between network operators, service operators and (local) service providers to simplify the creation of a wide set of new services for mobile users.”

The main goal of the project D-LOMS as part of the ITEA project LOMS, which is supported by the German Ministry of Research and Technology, is to significantly ease the development and deployment process for mobile services launched by locally operating service providers. Orga Systems developed new interfaces that allow local providers to offer their customers context-aware services while using pre-existing billing systems. Billing expenditures are minimized by printing only one bill for all services used - independent from the provider.
