Texas (October 22, 2008) - The global law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce the addition of 18 new associates in its Austin, Dallas, and Houston offices.

Austin Office
Jon Schnautz* joined the Firm’s Trial Practice Group in Austin. He received a J.D., with high honors, from The University of Texas School of Law in 2008 and a Bachelor of Journalism, summa cum laude, from The University of Texas at Austin in 1996.

Dallas Office
Monique R. Alexander* joined the Firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group in Dallas. She received a J.D., summa cum laude, from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2008 and a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston in 2002.

Toni Nicole Anderson* joined the Firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group in Dallas. She received a J.D., with honors, from The University of Texas School of Law in 2008 and a B.B.A. and M.B.A., both magna cum laude, from Florida A&M University in 2004.

Jennifer M. Avery* joined the Firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group in Dallas. She received a J.D., with honors, and LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from Duke University School of Law in 2008 and an A.B. in American Studies from Stanford University in 2000.

J. Will Eidson joined the Firm’s Trial Practice Group in Dallas. He received a J.D., summa cum laude, from Baylor Law School in 2007 and a B.S. in Management, with highest honors, from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2004. Prior to joining Thompson & Knight, he completed a Judicial Clerkship with the Honorable C. Arlen Beam in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit from 2007-2008.

Timothy L. Evans* joined the Firm’s Trial Practice Group in Dallas. He received a J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 2008 and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2001.

Adam B. Hill* joined the Firm’s Real Estate and Banking Practice Group in Dallas. He received a J.D., magna cum laude, from Duke University School of Law in 2008 and a B.A. in Applied Mathematics and International Studies, magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University in 2005.

Michael Lii* joined the Firm’s Finance Practice Group in Dallas. He received a J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law in 2008, an S.M. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1997, and a B.A. in Economics and Statistics, with highest honors in Economics and departmental citation in Statistics, from the University of California at Berkeley in 1993.

D. Michelle Vincent Parker* joined the Firm’s Real Estate and Banking Practice Group in Dallas. She received a J.D., cum laude, from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2008 and a B.A. in Economics and Spanish, magna cum laude, from Baylor University in 2004.

Vishal H. Patel* joined the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group in Dallas. He received a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 2008 and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from St. Louis University in 2002.

Brian Stoltz joined the Firm’s Trial Practice Group in Dallas. He received a J.D., with high honors, from The University of Texas School of Law in 2007 and a B.A. in Plan II and History, with high honors, from The University of Texas at Austin in 2004. Prior to joining Thompson & Knight, he completed a Judicial Clerkship with the Honorable Carolyn Dineen King in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit from 2007-2008.

Emily S. Tubb* joined the Firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group in Dallas. She received a J.D., with honors, from The University of Texas School of Law in 2008 and a B.A. in Economics and English, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University in 2005.

Cheri Whiteside* joined the Firm’s Tax Practice Group in Dallas. She received a J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2008 and a Bachelor of Social Welfare from the University of Kansas in 2005.

Emily A. Witten* joined the Firm’s Environmental Practice Group in Dallas. She received a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2008 and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, with distinction, from Stanford University in 2002.

Houston Office
David T. Grand Jr.* joined the Firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group in Houston. He received a J.D. and Bachelor of Civil Law, magna cum laude, from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2008 and a B.S. in Construction Management from Louisiana State University in 2001.

Karen M. Rose* joined the Firm’s Tax Practice Group in Houston. She received a J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law in 2008 and a B.A. in French and Intercultural Studies, summa cum laude, from Wofford College in 2005.

Edward (Ted) Seilheimer* joined the Firm’s Real Estate and Banking Practice Group in Houston. He received a J.D., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2008 and a B.A. in Government and Plan II from The University of Texas at Austin in 2004.

James Sonnier* joined the Firm’s Oil and Gas Practice Group in Houston. He received a J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law in 2008 and a B.A. in English from The University of Texas at Austin in 2005.
