Taber Estes Thorne & Carr Partners Highlighted In 2008 Texas Super Lawyers Listing
DALLAS -- The Dallas-based law firm of Taber Estes Thorne & Carr PLLC is pleased to announce that name partners Dawn Estes and Lori Carr have earned spots on the prestigious 2008 Texas Super Lawyers listing of the state’s top attorneys.Ms. Estes was recognized for her work in business litigation, while Ms. Carr was recognized for her expertise in labor & employment law.
To compile the Texas Super Lawyers listing, more than 70,000 attorneys across the state nominated their peers whose work they most admire. Super Lawyers editors chose a blue-ribbon panel of attorneys who made the final selections. Fewer than 5 percent of all attorneys in the state received the special honor.
The Texas Super Lawyers list appears in the October 2008 issue of Texas Monthly magazine, as well as Texas Super Lawyers magazine, a publication co-produced by the publishers of Texas Monthly and Law & Politics Media Inc.
This is just the latest Super Lawyers recognition earned by the firm’s partners. Ms. Estes has been featured in the Texas Super Lawyers listing each year since its inception in 2003, and Ms. Carr has been recognized each of the previous three years. Name partner Jessica Thorne also has previously earned the Super Lawyers distinction, and has been featured in the Texas Rising Stars listing of the state’s top up-and-coming attorneys.
The 2008 Texas Super Lawyers listings continue an impressive string of honors the firm has received this year. Name partner Jane Taber earned State Bar of Texas honors for the "Best Series of Articles - Substantive Law,” and attorney Sheri Crosby has been recognized this year as the 2008 Outstanding Young Lawyer by both the Texas Young Lawyers Association and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers.
