New Gartner research positions Avolution in Leaders quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Tools

Gartner Inc., a leading industry analyst firm has recognized Avolution as a leader in its Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Tools*, published 24 May 2017. Recognition was given to Avolution for its ABACUS toolset which supports architects and strategist as they manage complex business-critical systems and data both day-to-day and for transformation projects and compliance missions.

Gartner explains that Magic Quadrant Leaders “execute well against their current vision and are well positioned for tomorrow.”** Analysts report that “In a world of ever-increasing change, organizations need accurate answers more quickly. EA tools need to support EA and TI practitioners by delivering those answers faster. Whether through easier integration with third-party products or persona-based interfaces, tools need new capabilities to reduce the time it takes to deliver business results.”

Current innovation focuses include algorithms to calculate enterprise metrics such as cost, risk, performance and reliability, server-side simulations and dynamic data visualizations.

In January 2017, ABACUS received the highest product score for the Speeding Time to Value Use Case, and the second highest score in the Creating Signature-Ready Actionable Deliverables Use Case, two of three Use Cases in the January 2017 Gartner report “Critical Capabilities for Enterprise Architecture Tools”***.

The latest release, ABACUS 5.1, will be available for preview at the Gartner Enterprise Architecture and Technology Innovation Summits to be held in Orlando, FL (31 May – 1 June) and London (14 – 15 June). It contains numerous user experience and data visualization improvements as well as faster processing and analytics.
