King.com today announced the resignation of Toby Rowland as Co-CEO of the Company
London, 2nd of October 2008 – Mel Morris, Chairman of the Board, said: “On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Toby for the immense contribution he has made to King.com. He has been a highly effective Co-CEO, and Toby's recent achievements have included King.com's successful launch and growth in the United States, development of company's advertising business, and the company's IP licensing programme. We wish him well in his future endeavors, and look forward to his continued contribution to the Board.”Mr. Rowland co-founded King.com in 2003, and led the company from the start-up phase through to profitability in 2005 and a €34m investment in the company by Apax Partners and Index Ventures in September 2005. In 2008, King.com remains strongly profitable and hosts more than 200 million games played by 12 million visitors every month, has more than 70 employees and continues to grow rapidly.
