Shown at AQUATECH Fair in Amsterdam (30.09.-03.10.):

Billions of people world over suffer from the lack of clean drinking water – millions of children die from the consequences of drinking polluted waters. The revolutionary HelioTech SolarWaterTreatment System is the decentralized solution for this global problem. The revolutionary system will be shown at the AQUATECH Fair in Amsterdam (30.sep - 03. oct 08): Hall 7 / Stand 07.613.

“The global water shortage is a greater threat to humanity than global warming,” says an expert in an interview. “The consequences are being felt directly right now, and not in a hundred years.” Billions of people, according to the UN do not have access to clean drinking water. Over 5 million persons, primarily children, die from diseases caused by contaminated water every year.

Water desalination per reverse-osmosis or refineries:
Why industrial water treatment plants cannot solve the problem and create new ones in addition.

Seawater desalinization using reverse osmosis, as is practiced in most large-scale plants, requires gigantic expenditures for energy, design, material, operation, maintenance, personnel and investment. Investment costs of € 650,000 to € 2 mn and more are common. It takes about 4 kWh of power to desalinize 1000 liters of water. This requires power plants with a monthly output in the medium megawatt range. The water must additionally be chemically treated, distribution organized and constant, dependable operation ensured.

Not to mention the environmental problems caused by industrial-scale plants in coastal areas. At an efficiency of 25%, the salt filtered out is returned to the sea as brine, with the disastrous consequence that the elevated salt content contaminates entire coastlines and causes sustained damage to plants and animals, which cannot tolerate more than 3% salt concentration. This in turn means that the people of the region are often deprived of fishing as a livelihood. These people “flee” to the cities, which grow and grow. And the demand for water mushrooms accordingly.

The HelioTech SolarWaterTreatment System produces pure water using the principles of nature and the energy of the sun.

Clean drinking water is often sparse in those areas where there is an insufficient energy supply, inadequate infrastructure, lack of skilled man-power to operate the conventional plants.
The HelioTech system is completely independent of all electricity and energy sources (waste heat, heating power plant, etc.). All the HelioTech SolarWatertreatment System needs is sunlight. And there is more than enough in those regions where drinking water is scarce: Southern Europe, South America and Southern Africa, Asia and Australia.

The HelioTech SolarWatertreatment System works solely by evaporation. This means that the water gained at an evaporation temperature of approx. 100 degrees (C) is absolutely germ-free and immediately drinkable. Unlike other processes, no post-treatment using chemicals or radiation is necessary.

The “water works” for everyone, everywhere – from 50 liters per day to 1800 cubic meters per year.

The HelioTech system can be used wherever seawater is available – and thus primarily in those countries and coastal regions that lack the required infrastructure, such as energy or roads to transport drinking water.
The system is the ideal solution for decentralized local or regional use

precisely where drinking water is needed, enabling settlements, hotels and resort complexes to secure their drinking-water supply reliably and cost-effectively. Thus, everyone can now create as much drinking water as they need.

The advantages of HelioTech over conventional water treatment plants:

• Solar-powered, independent of all electricity sources
• Clean, potable water immediately, without chemical post-treatment
• Independent of location with unlimited potential applications
• Module output approx. 50 liters/day
• Scalable up to 30 m3/month by combining modules
• Simple technology – no specialists required for operation or maintenance
• Reliable and maintenance-free for decades
• Low investment costs thanks to proven materials
• Mobile, transportable design

HelioTech, located in Baldham near Munich, is proof that new inventions and ideas are not necessarily the exclusive domain of inventors, talented do-it-yourselvers or university R&D departments. The group behind our inventions consists of experienced and competent business men who have been successful entrepreneurs for decades. The premise of our three innovative products, now ready to go into production, is the idea of how to preserve the environment and its natural resources, with:

– the Solar Water Treatment System „HelioTech“
– the Solar Cooking Box „SunChef“
– the Spray Can System "LINUS"

With the HelioTech Solar-Watertreatment-System, anyone can provide for their own needs whenever clean drinking water is needed. Clean drinkable water is usually scarce in areas where the energy supply is insufficient, there is little or no infrastructure, as well as lack of required manpower to permanently operate the conventional plants. Therefore, the HelioTech Solar-Water Treatment System needs only one energy source that is always plentiful and consistently free and available: The Sun - requiring only minimal human help. The system has a capacity of 50 litres per day. When several modules are linked together, the total output is even up to 1.800 m3 per year.

The Solar Cooking Box: Cooking with the help of the sun. An idea that is obvious. Many have already experimented with the idea. An oversized parabolic mirror as solar cooker, with a pot placed in the center, is probably the best known of these experiments. Almost none of them survived the trial test or went into production.

The Spray Can System "LINUS" – no harmful gases and aerosols. The Linus Spray System does not require any of the usual propellants and works in a revolutionary new way: Using high pressure, the content is pressed into a specially made silicone tube placed inside the can. The silicone tube then forms a ballon shape. When the valve is pressed, the silicone tube pulls together with great force and sprays the content, leaving only a minimal residue in the can. The efficiency is 98,8%.

Innovative Ideas from HelioTech: Opportunities for Investors.

The market potential for these products is enormous. For the Solar Water Treatment System alone, the requirements worldwide are conservatively estimated to be 5 to 10 million units. This translates into a market potential of 20 to 40 billion Euro in the next five to ten years. In order to realize this potential without delay, a considerable investment is needed for the construction of additional on-site production facilities, distribution and marketing. At this time, HelioTech is in discussions with Foundations and Venture Capital firms. Innovative investors from the business sector are welcome.
