Among these devices, the PC is not a high primacy device for the majority of customers, so they do not feel the need to upgrade their PCs as often as they used to. Consumers in emerging market primarily use smartphones or phablets for their computing needs and also they don’t find the need to use a PC as compared in mature markets. Due to this, market consumption volumes declined with a CARC of -3.4% during 2012-2016, to reach a total of 264.5 million units in 2016, finds the study.
