Procedure of Matchmaking for B2B Consultations:
In the framework of B2B-Consultations German and Iraqi business people will meet directly in person and individually matched within a confidential setting. To enhance effectiveness, both partners have been undergoing prior to the Meeting the special Midan profiling in order to ensure optimal congruence of capacities, potential and projects.

In detail Midan Matchmaking follows this procedure:

1. After signing in and payment of fee a Midan Coach will contact the participant for detailed profiling.
2. This profile is sent to our diversified Iraqi infrastructure inviting enrolment for Matchmaking.
3. To our experience the response in Iraq is immense. MIDAN will now analyse and screen these responses.
4. Those responses with the best potential will be closely analysed by our MIDAN-Offices in Iraq; profiles are completed, potentials and demands (e.g.: import, export, financing, know-how-transfer) brought to the point.
5. Only the 1-3 most promising candidates will be presented to the German participant. S/he may chose whether and whom to meet and invite(*) in the framework of our Business-Meeting.
6. The Iraqi partner(s) will, of course, come to the Business Meeting in Germany on their own costs and risks. (*)
(*) Based on the Visa-procedure established by the German Foreign Ministry a formal invitation by the German Partner for the Iraqi Partner is mandatory.
Important! This invitation is purely formal and does NOT impose any legal responsibility onto the German Partner!

Working Groups
Another speciality of our Business Meetings is our Working Groups.
Any Working Group aims at initiating / promoting / realising / finalizing a project in Iraq which is beyond the scope and capacities of a single player, but demands the close cooperation of a diversified team of governmental and non – governmental partners. To facilitate this cooperation representatives of these diversified German and Iraqi partners meet in closed shops, coached by Midan.
Working Groups are established on demand.
To Working Groups previous application is mandatory.
Projects of our Working Groups are, of course, followed up upon after the Business Meeting.

The following Working Groups are scheduled:

1. Working Group Medicine
By way of example, the Working Group on Medicine will serve as the focal point for German enterprises planning in joint action the establishment of a medical infrastructure to combat children’s leukaemia in the northern provinces of Iraq. Invited are enterprises specialising in related fields as well as concerned Iraqi decision makers in order to allow detailed discussion on how to cooperate with view to the preparation of tendering.

2. Working Group Construction
The Working Group on construction will reunite representatives from several branches of industry and government in order to enable joint action in projects beyond the capacity of individual members. Participants will be, inter alia, representatives from the Association of Kurdish Constructors.

3. Working Group Trade and Financing
In the Working Group on Financing participants will negotiate tenders and private projects and their financing .
