Alternative Technology and Oracle extend distribution agreement to include enterprise-class Linux Support

Englewood, Colo. Sept. 2, 2008 Alternative Technology, Inc., an Arrow Electronics, Inc. company and leading specialty distributor of thin-client/server-based computing, edge infrastructure, virtualization, storage and security solutions, today announced an agreement to sell Oracle® Unbreakable Linux Support. Oracle Unbreakable Linux is a program that provides enterprises with award-winning global support for Linux and is fully compatible (both source and binary) with Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The Oracle Unbreakable Linux support program has become the choice of over 2,500 customers and continues to grow rapidly as customers experience the benefits of the program.

Alternative Technology will leverage its North American channel, education and technical resources to expand the reach of Oracle's world-class Linux support offering. Alternative Technology solution providers can now offer the benefits of comprehensive, enterprise-quality Linux support to their customers.
