Hemophilia is a rare, inherited disorder in which blood doesn’t clot normally due to the lack of sufficient blood clotting factor. Patients with severe hemophilia are treated with the help of a routine treatment regimen, called prophylaxis, so as to maintain clotting factor levels in their bloodstream.
