Scintillating Finish to Decade Celebrations BKBIET Pilani BASANT Rituraj of Rajasthan College Fests
Students of Journey through Decade BKBIET indeed embrace their dreams stronger and longer for they are all dreamers waiting for a new wind to blow through and open a path and witness it in coming times.Oasis in Thar Desert, Pilani hometown to Birlas has many educational institutions which include 2007 established BK Birla Institute of Engineering & Technology BKBIET which is one among the top ranking colleges under Rajasthan Technical University.
Basant the college Fest of BK Birla Institute of Engineering and Technology – BKBIET Pilani spread over 108 hours of education and entertainment during 8 – 12 Apr 2017 is a true triveni sangam of dance drama music. 108 was chosen not only for religious significance but also mathematical significance as 108 happens to be Hyper factorial of 3, Tetranacci number, Harshad number, Self number and also results in Golden Ratio.
One of the popular bollywood singers Gajendra Verma internet sensation is an Indian composer and playback singer who came in light for the controversy of the song Emptiness also known as Tune mere jaana that got leaked on the internet with a fake sympathetic story of a dying IIT student named Rohan Rathore and had instant liking by 3 million music lovers across the nation gave a foot tapping and soul stirring performance at BKBIET BASANT on 11 Apr 2017.
The final day 12 Apr 2017 events opened with spine chilling dance followed by the Nakshatras Ramp round of 16, solo dance performances, winning band performances, dust singing performances, Ramp Round of 8, Ramp Round by BASANT organizing committee and much more. Prizes for various events were given by well known Birla Institute of Technology and Science - BITS Pilani alumnus Prof BR Natarajan who is also founder President – Vice Chancellor and Advisor of Sangam University Bhilwara and Shri UK Pandey Principal of Shri SK Birla established Amla Birla Kendra School for Special Children at Pilani.
Anchors for various events included Prerna Muskan, Madhur, Nikita, Jyoti and Neha Vanshaj pair conducted the final round of Nakshatra with aplomb. The judges for Nakshatras were Mrs Booma Natarajan Principal JMA Pilani, Mrs Chetna Pandey and Shri Reetesh Gautam.
The audience were dumb struck when BKBIET faculty members Garima Monika and Ankit went on stage and danced their hearts out. For the Science Fair under NGO NIRMANN conducted during BASANT 2017 in which various Pilani schools participated, Jamuna Mishra Academy JMA won the first prize and a beaming Principal Mrs Booma Natarajan received the certificates and cash prize of Rs 5100/-
The International touch to BKBIET BASANT happened when a team of exchange program students from France doing internship did the Ramp walk to loud cheers. The most touching moment was when Principal Administration Prof Shridhar Dandin and Principal Academics Dr Lovendra Solanki handed over a decade of celebrations memento to Founder Director Dr PS Bhatnagar who also happens to be an alumnus of BITS Pilani.
The megawatt moments happened when it was announced Anisha Dhaiya as Miss BASANT and Siddhant as MR BASANT and Stephen Joseph - Sonia Prajapat pair and Garima – Kesav pair as other winners in Nakshatras Ramp Finals. The video presentation of BKBIET Pilani Journey through Decade had a standing ovation from the audience.
While the festival BASANT ended with a spectacular fireworks display and grand dinner, the BKBIET students assured that they will carry the spirit of BASANT in terms of team work, creativity, leadership, risk taking etc in all their future endeavors.
