Press release from: Sequris Group

Sequris Group guides manufacturing companies through NIST 800-171

The cyber security requirement impact on manufacturing organizations is going to be heavy in 2017. Guidelines from the regulatory agencies have tripled in some cases. DoD contractors (including small business) are under pressure of meeting these requirements or chance losing the business. In fact, manufacturers with contracts with the Department of Defense (DoD), General Services Administration (GSA) or NASA must be compliant with defined cybersecurity requirements no later than December 31, 2017
Sequris Group announces the inclusion of NIST 800-171 Security Standards to our holistic Information Security Management Solution and Controls Dashboard. NIST 800-171 adds to an impressive list of other NIST Control Standards already implemented and utilized by our clients. All “non-federal” companies will need to comply with the new NIST security requirements to prevent unauthorized access and disclosure of government information. The mandate will safeguard organizations that process, store or transmit Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) or Covered Defense Information. These nonfederal organizations include contractors, subcontractors and service providers. Additionally, CUI is often provided to, or shared with, state and local governments, colleges and universities, and independent research organizations. Sequris will help put a plan in place and meet the regulatory requirements.
Join the hundreds of clients that look to Sequris to establish a framework for the management of information security programs, operations and risk management services and a web based application for Information Security Controls. Sequris provides the foundation for managing information security programs by identifying goals and objectives, identifying assets (people, process & technology), assessing risk, implementing protective programs, base lining metrics, evaluating effective measurements and reporting - then backing it all with our Professional Services Team and a 24x7 Security Operations Center.
