Mithi Software launches Vaultastic HOLD Plan, a new pricing option for retaining historical email data

Mithi Software has recently launched a new pricing plan for Vaultastic - its cloud based email archiving solution. Vaultastic’s Hold plan is targeted towards enterprises who want to retain the historical email data of their ex-employees without having to maintain their primary mailboxes.

With the increase in volume and importance of email communication, organizations are keen to ensure the security of their data not only for compliance and legal requirements but also as means to secure information.

There are two possibilities here:

1. Deleting the primary mail box of the user which results in automatic deletion of the archive mailbox as well.

2. Maintaining the primary mailbox in a suspended or inactive format so as to keep the archived information.

Adding to this, he said “Due to stringent compliance norms, organizations may be required to maintain all email data for a pre-defined period of time, which rules out option #1. Companies are often burdened with additional expenses of maintaining a suspended inbox. Organizations can end up accumulating multiple inactive inboxes with costs running anywhere between USD 25 – 100/user/year.”

The new plan comes with a storage capacity of 2GB per user at a cost of USD 18/user/year, with additional storage available at an extra cost.
