DALLAS – The Dallas law firm of Shackelford, Melton & McKinley, LLP, is pleased to announce the addition of noted local bankruptcy attorney Wm. Chris Wolffarth as Of Counsel. In addition to his bankruptcy practice, Mr. Wolffarth handles commercial transactions for a wide variety of companies.

"Chris is a tremendously talented attorney, known and respected by many in the legal community," says John Shackelford, a founding partner of Shackelford, Melton & McKinley. "We are pleased he has joined our firm. His experience in all areas of bankruptcy will greatly enhance the services we offer to our clients."

Mr. Wolffarth's extensive experience includes assisting secured and unsecured trustees, debtors and creditors. He also represents secured lenders in real estate loan workouts, lease negotiations, foreclosures and bankruptcies. In addition to his bankruptcy work, Mr. Wolffarth regularly handles a diverse array of civil litigation and commercial transaction matters. He also works as a trained mediator.

Mr. Wolffarth served as managing partner of the Dallas law firm of Johnson & Wolffarth, LLP, for 15 years prior to joining Shackelford, Melton & McKinley. He earned his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University.
