PamFax is "Skype Certified"

The unique fax solution for Skype now belongs to the selected Skype extras

Since the first version of PamFax's software for sending faxes with Skype was released in the summer of 2007, the solution has been widely praised. The Skype add-in was awarded the prize for the best and most innovative European contribution at the Skype Mashup Competition as early as the fall of that year. The product was awarded Skype certification in April of 2008 and made it onto the list of selected Skype extras that are directly available in Skype via the Tools menu. The certification from Skype came in record time after the release of version 1.0 by PamFax.

In recent weeks, Pam Consult has also improved the PamFax infrastructure and architecture. PamFax now supports a considerably greater number of document formats (over 100). The processing speed for faxes and server availability have also been improved.

Among the more than 300 million Skype users, there are many who use the modern and affordable VoIP software as their main or exclusive means of making calls. Until now, they've not been able to use Skype to send faxes, which are still needed for business correspondence and paperwork for government agencies. PamFax closes this gap. The program sends documents from a PC without the expense of a fax machine from any location and deducts the resulting charges (starting from € 0.17 per page for transmission within Europe, to the USA, or to additional countries) from the user's existing Skype credit. Sending faxes requires very little input from the user. The software confirms the fax has been successfully sent with a Skype Chat message, an e-mail, or both. PamFax does not require pre-payment, a subscription, or membership. It can be used as needed from any location without any obligations.

Over 28,000 users have already installed PamFax. The number of users is growing by more than 1000 every week. "These figures show that there is still demand for fax solutions despite e-mail, instant messaging, and the Web." The certification assures everyone who wants to fax from their Skype account that PamFax will make good on its promises," explains Dick Schiferli, CEO of PamConsult.
