West Byfleet, Surrey, 22 May 2008 - Popular lifestyle clothing brand Plain Lazy has teamed up with web design agency Green Jersey Web Design to expand the online sector of its business, using Actinic’s ecommerce software for the new site at www.plainlazy.com.

Visitors to the site can not only buy clothing from Plain Lazy and its three sister brands Lazy Lady, Plain Lazy Kids and Lazy Baby, they can also enjoy numerous fun features such as a ‘countdown to the weekend’ clock, screen saver and mobile wallpaper downloads, video clips, and competitions. “It is one of the most creatively customised Actinic-based sites on the web, and a fantastic showcase for the software’s flexibility,” comments Chris Barling, chief executive officer of Actinic.

The new website is already a commercial success, with revenues up over 100% since the March launch. Mark Hagley, Plain Lazy’s founder and head man says, "We are delighted with the results that Green Jersey has provided using Actinic’s software. Ecommerce and the internet are the future of our marketing strategy, and it was important for us to integrate design and purchasing functionality in an increasingly crowded market place."

Green Jersey worked with Plain Lazy’s own designers and photographer Kirstin Prisk, to produce a site that promotes the company’s brand image and complements its other marketing activities. Mark Fraser, Green Jersey’s managing director, explains, “From the outset, the key challenge was to produce a single, integrated website which would combine serious ecommerce functionality with Plain Lazy's cheeky style and rich content.”

Looking ahead, the website will add a wholesale interface for retailers and buyers and the range of items on sale will expand into furniture, skateboarding essentials, toiletries and more.
