I Heart Keenwah Toasted Quinoa Hot Cereals

I Heart Keenwah, makers of ready-to-eat quinoa snacks, will debut their new Toasted Quinoa and NEXTY Awards finalist product Toasted Quinoa Hot Cereal at Expo West, March 8 – 12, Booth #5337, in Anaheim, California. The pantry items are an expansion of the brand’s quinoa-based product portfolio, which now includes five product lines and 14 SKUs. The new line of toasted quinoa pantry staples provides consumers with an easy way to enjoy the nutrition and versatility that quinoa offers, without the grassy, bitter aftertaste often found in other quinoa products.

I Heart Keenwah’s Toasted Quinoa is made from Organic Bolivian Royal Quinoa, a single-origin heirloom seed sourced only from the Salt Flat region of Bolivia. The product is a nod to the traditional way of preparing quinoa in Bolivia (phisara) – pre-toasting the seeds before cooking them to bring out the richest, nuttiest flavor.

Also made from heirloom Organic Bolivian Royal Quinoa, Toasted Quinoa Hot Cereal cooks creamier and more delicious than other hot cereals on the market, without the added sugar and flavoring often found in convenience foods. Toasted Quinoa Hot Cereal is a finalist in the NEXTY Awards Best New Packaged Food category. The winners of the 2017 awards will be announced at Expo West.

Toasted Quinoa is available in White and Tricolor, Toasted Quinoa Hot Cereal is available in unsweetened and lightly sweetened with lucuma fruit. Lucuma fruit is sourced from the Peruvian highlands and boasts a maple-like sweetness without refined sugar.

“Our mission has always been to make quinoa accessible,” said Ravi Jolly, I Heart Keenwah Co-Founder. “With these new products we’ve taken the guess work out of cooking delicious quinoa at home, while maintaining our commitment to supporting Bolivian quinoa.”
