Andrews Kurth Elects Diana Hudson as Community and Alumni Relations Partner

HOUSTON - Andrews Kurth LLP today announced that Diana Hudson has been elected as Community and Alumni Relations Partner.

In this position, Hudson will report to the firm’s Managing Partner, Bob Jewell, and will focus on expanding the firm’s outreach in the community on the local, state and national levels. She will review opportunities and make recommendations regarding the firm’s level of involvement in community affairs as well as help educate attorneys about community involvement and board opportunities. Hudson will also work to organize and implement a program to establish and retain relationships with firm alumni.

“Diana’s volunteer track-record and history with the firm will position her exceptionally well to take on this newly created position,” says Bob Jewell, Managing Partner.

While this new position will be her main focus, Hudson will continue her law practice in corporate, securities and general corporate matters. In addition to her law practice in Corporate/Securities, Hudson served as co-chair of the United Way Texas Gulf Coast Alexis de Tocqueville Society and was past Chair and member of the steering committee for their Women’s Initiative. She is Vice Chair of the Lawndale Art Center as well as a member of the board of directors and Executive Committee. In addition, Hudson was a member of the Steering Committee for the Harris County Cultural Impact Study.

In 2007, Texas Monthly named Hudson as a Texas Super Lawyer in Securities and Corporate Finance. She received her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law in 1976 and her B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 1973.
