From New York to Munich: Thanks to furnished rentals, arriving in a new city has never been easier.
At the trade fair EXPAT IN THE CITY 2017, Mr. Lodge shows where and how skilled employees from abroad live in the Bavarian metropolis.Munich, February 2017. Home for newcomers: as every third EU citizen relocates annually for professional reasons and the working world is becoming more and more global, the Munich real estate market is also becoming increasingly international. It is against this backdrop that Mr. Lodge, Munich’s leading provider of furnished temporary accommodation, will present itself at the international trade fair EXPAT IN THE CITY on 12 March, 2017. The fair will take place at BMW World and provide its visitors with information and inspiration. In addition, Gavin Carey, Head of International Affairs at Mr. Lodge, will hold an expert talk.
The English-speaking trade fair seeks to address newcomers of all nations as well as experts who help expats get settled in Munich. “More than 10,000 English-speaking expats, primarily from the USA and England, are estimated to live in the Bavarian capital. Newly immigrated professionals are faced with the challenge of finding suitable housing in their new home, particularly since most of them want to bring their families along,” explains Norbert Verbücheln, Managing Director of Mr. Lodge. The company provides furnished temporary accommodation – from 1-room studios to spacious city apartments or a complete house.
According to Verbücheln, there are two categories of foreign apartment seekers in the Munich real estate market; those who have to take matters into their own hands, and those who are assisted in their apartment search by their employer who brought them to Munich. Since many skilled workers are only temporarily in Munich for a period of a few months up to two years, they usually take advantage of furnished temporary rentals and foreign businesspeople are used to this concept. “In other countries it’s more common to rent – or even buy – fully furnished apartments,” he says.
Since the global target group is often not familiar with the local housing market, the multilingual Mr. Lodge team can assist customers in their native language. For EXPAT IN THE CITY, Mr. Lodge is planning a virtual tour, where interested parties can view the interiors of selected properties and experience an apartment viewing as if they were actually there.
The exhibitors will assist international expats with any questions they may have about their new home and facilitate their arrival in Munich. The trade fair provides numerous opportunities to network with other skilled professionals. Talks and workshops offer professional training. For example, Gavin Carey, who is responsible for international customer relations at Mr. Lodge, will give a talk on how to find real estate on Munich’s difficult market. According to him, Germany is a nation of tenants, which clearly sets it apart from many other countries. International kindergartens and schools will also be represented at the fair. Mr. Lodge will present itself at stand F7.
With 25 years of experience, Mr. Lodge is the leading provider of furnished temporary accommodation and also a synonym for professional real estate sales. From real estate valuation and home staging to technical service and professional presentation and marketing - The Mr. Lodge Real Estate Sales Department offers all-round service that goes far beyond the portfolio of conventional agents and realtors. Special attention is paid to the best possible marketing of the sales properties and the individual target group approach. To this end, the Mr. Lodge sales team not only expertly prepares the necessary paperwork and creates an exposé with meaningful descriptions and high-quality photos and video. The sales team also takes care of the distribution of the exposé on all important channels and real estate portals – as well as the Mr. Lodge website. As a result, as many potential buyers as possible are reached and the apartment or house can quickly find a new owner.
The Mr. Lodge sales team is at the owner’s side throughout the sales process, from the first viewing to the notary appointment. The result: The property can be placed on the market at the optimal price and can be sold shortly after. In return, real estate buyers benefit from Mr. Lodge by purchasing the ideal property at a fair price. As experts on the Munich real estate market, Mr. Lodge brings together buyers and sellers. Property owners and potential buyers can find the Mr. Lodge sales team at Prinz-Ludwig-Straße 7, 80333 Munich.
