Uncover Britain - Winners of International Tourism Award

Recognition highlights the role of curated road trip guides in helping international visitors explore Britain's regions

Hereford, United Kingdom - 9 March 2026 - Digital travel guide platform Uncover Britain has won the International Tourism Award at the Herefordshire Tourism Awards, recognising tourism businesses that deliver outstanding experiences for international visitors.

The awards were announced on 3 March 2026 at The Courtyard Theatre in Hereford, during an evening celebrating the county's tourism industry. The awards were presented by broadcaster and conservationist Kate Humble, widely known for her work on BBC programmes including Countryfile.

The International Tourism Award recognises businesses that demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a strong understanding of the needs of overseas visitors.

Uncover Britain, which creates curated road trip guides and travel itineraries across the UK, was recognised for helping visitors discover destinations beyond the most familiar tourist routes while encouraging deeper exploration of regions such as Herefordshire.

Judges commented:

"Uncover Britain provides a unique experience for visitors coming to the county."

Alongside winning the International Tourism Award, the business was also named a finalist in the Accessible and Inclusive Tourism Award, which recognises organisations that demonstrate excellence in creating inclusive visitor experiences.

Uncover Britain originally began as an award-winning campervan hire company, helping visitors explore the landscapes and heritage of Herefordshire and the surrounding regions. Over time, that experience and a growing tourism network evolved into a digital platform designed to support travellers exploring Britain through self-guided journeys.

Founder Annah Todman said the recognition highlights the importance of helping visitors experience regions in a deeper way.

"We are incredibly proud to receive the International Tourism Award and to be recognised alongside so many inspiring tourism businesses in Herefordshire. Our aim with Uncover Britain has always been to help visitors discover the places that often sit just beyond the most familiar destinations - the villages, landscapes and local stories that make regions like Herefordshire so special."

Today the platform offers road trip guides, curated travel routes and planning tools designed to help travellers explore Britain's landscapes, historic towns and hidden gems.
